Men's Basketball Beats Tacoma to Make Final Four

NWAC Champs Final Four. Olympic College Ranger logo vs Yakima Valley Yaks logo. Saturday March 26, 3pm, Everett, WA

EVERETT | The Rangers continued to be one of the hottest teams in the NWAC, extending their winning streak to four with wins in 8-of-9 games. Olympic jumped out to a big early lead and never looked back, going ahead 25-6 through nine minutes. The Rangers led by as many as 27 points and their lead never fell below 15 points.

While shooting a solid 38.6 percent from the field, the Rangers were more importantly able to limit the Titans' offense to 30 percent and just six made three pointers. Olympic was effective early from behind the arc, making seven three's in the first half to help them jump out to the big lead.

The Rangers were led by Aundree Polk once again, who had 20 points with nine rebounds and four assists. Tyler Williford had 12 points and 10 rebounds and three players scored nine points for Olympic.

On the other side, Roman Lewis tallied 15 points for Tacoma while Truman Young had 11 and six rebounds.

Olympic advances onto the NWAC Semifinals for just the second time in program history as they look for their first NWAC title. They will play Yakima Valley on Saturday, March 26 at 3 p.m.

The NWAC Semifinals will be played at Everett Community College on March 26 with the Finals on Sunday, March 27. (Story courtesy of the NWAC)
