Softball Fals to Walla Walla in Doubleheader

The Olympic College Rangers took on the Walla Walla Warriors in a doubleheader on March 15, 2025, but struggled to keep up with their opponents' powerful offense. In the first game, the Rangers fell 18-10 in a high-scoring battle. Walla Walla jumped out to an early lead and continued to build on their momentum throughout the game. A key moment came when M. Hill of the Warriors hit a triple, bringing home three runs as C. Taber, M. Schumacher, and H. Nash crossed the plate. Despite a strong effort at the plate from the Rangers, they were unable to close the gap.

The second game followed a similar pattern, with Walla Walla securing a dominant 16-5 victory. Olympic College struggled to contain the Warriors' bats as they racked up runs inning after inning. While the Rangers put together some offensive highlights of their own, it wasn't enough to counteract the relentless attack from Walla Walla. Pitching difficulties and defensive miscues also contributed to the lopsided scoreline, making it a tough day on the field for Olympic.

These back-to-back losses dropped the Rangers to an even 4-9 record for the season. Despite the setbacks, the team showed flashes of offensive firepower and resilience, which they'll look to build on in upcoming games. As the season progresses, Olympic will aim to tighten up its pitching and defense while continuing to find success at the plate.

Looking ahead, the Rangers will have an opportunity to bounce back in their next series, where they'll aim to correct mistakes and regain momentum. With plenty of games left in the season, Olympic College will be focused on making adjustments and improving their performance to stay competitive in conference play.
