Lake was solid through the front nine, shooting a tournament-leading 37 (+1) and punctuating her hot start with a birdie on the ninth hole.  She stayed even over the next two holes but ran into issues on 12, bogeying the hole.  She ran into trouble on the tough 13th and 14th holes, knocking her out of the lead.  Lake finished in 4th, shooting 80 (+8).

"I was impressed with both our women, playing in their first collegiate event," shared head coach Bjorn Bjorke, "Both showed good composure and patience."

Madeline Strivens also made her collegiate debut. The Tacoma native (Wilson HS) showed promise on a few holes at the tough Olympic Course at Gold Mountain Golf Club.  She struggled around the greens but was really strong off the tee.

The women travel to Portland, Oregon, on Monday, for the Southwestern Oregon Invitation, hosted by Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course.
