Guinther ran at the Lewis & Clark Invite which features over 300 runners in the men's collegiate race alone. The freshman set a PR in the race with a time of 30:59.3, taking 302nd place. 

"Joshua has been consistently improving all season long and this last Saturday it was no exception to that," said head coach Seth Brotherton. "He was able to run an 11 second PR and break 32 minutes in the 8K for the first time. He managed to do this even though a group of runners fell right in front of him, only about 200m into the race. He was able to dodge and avoid them, regain his focus and run a great race."
